This collection consists of correspondence, notes, articles, maps, and newspaper clippings on early Pacific Northwest history, emphasizing maps, boundaries, and historical markers. Of particular interest to Barry were facsimiles of the map William Clark drew, originally drawn on the ground by Native Americans for Lewis and Clark. This was the first map ever drawn of the Pacific Northwest region, and these facsimiles are included several times in the collection and were annotated by Barry.
