Second president of the Wyoming Stock Growers Association, Alexander Swan joined his brother Thomas in establishing Swan Brothers and Company in 1873, imported the first purebred Herefords to Wyoming, and helped found the Wyoming Hereford Ranch and Union Pacific Stock Yards in Council Bluffs and Omaha.
Collection contains a pamphlet written by Alexander Swan, correspondence, receipts, accounts, orders, and photographs.
