			<p>Harold A. Romberg (died 05 January 2005) led Spokane's Andre-Romberg Agency
				(insurance) and served on WSU's Board of Regents from 1967-1979. He was President of
				the Board in 1970 when student protests occurred at Washington State University in
				response to U.S. military operations in Southeast Asia and other issues.</p>

			<p>This small collection is primarily comprised of letters addressed to Washington State
				University's Board of Regents from alumni and community members alarmed by the
				unrest of the student protests in 1970. Other items in the collection include a list
				of student demands and University President Glenn Terrell's response, printed
				materials by the Ad Hoc Committee Against Racism, and the transcription of a speech
				about student unrest by the Reverend of the Pullman Presbyterian Church. The
				collection is broken into three short series: letters from the public, institutional
				letters, and public essays.</p>

			<p>After MASC employee Pat Hall left in 1990, these papers were found in her workspace
				with no identification and provenance; it is likely, though not certain, that they
				had been separated out of University President Glenn Terrell's records. They were
				relabeled as UA1990-30 on September 3rd, 1990.</p>
