      <head>Historical Note</head>
      <p>Since the earl 1990s, the Gay and Lesbian Archives of the Pacific
		  Northwest (GLAPN) has collected historical materials documenting LGBTQ
		  communities in Oregon and throughout the Pacific Northwest. Materials collected
		  by the organization have been regularly donated to the Oregon Historical
		  Society.</p>

      <p>Items include LGBT community newspapers from the Oregon cities of
		  Portland, Salem, and Eugene; the Washington cities of Seattle, Olympia,
		  Vancouver, and Spokane; Boise, Idaho; Vancouver, British Columbia; as well as
		  from smaller towns in Oregon and Washington. Some national publications are
		  included, though most contain information pertaining to the Pacific Northwest
		  region. Also included are newsletters and promotional publications from various
		  community support organizations.</p>
