      <p>Renee Marchant Rampton (born 1935) grew up in Salt Lake City as one of fifteen children. She married Roger Rampton and the couple moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. While in Las Vegas, Renee recieved her bachelor's degree in elementary education from UNLV and went on to teach elementary school, later recieving her masters degree in educational administration. Renee and Roger had four children together, then were divorced later in life. Renee was heavily involved in music, her community, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She became a strong supporter of the Equal Rights Ammendment and became involved with politics as they applied to the church.</p>
