  	<head>Biography of Irving L. Barker</head><p>Irving L. Barker was a metallurgist and mill superintendant for Cerro de Pasco Corporation during the twentieth century. Barker joined Cerro de Pasco in 1934 and worked primarily at the company's La Oroya Mine in Peru. He held several positions at the La Oroya Mine, serving as Assistant Superintendent of Smelting (1947-1952) and Superintendent of Smelting and Refining (1952-1957).</p>

  	<head>Scope and Content</head><p>Collection contains a number of photographs of Cerro de Pasco Corporation's La Oroya Mine and its smelting and refining facilities, a few images of Irving L. Barker, and two images of a baby llama. Collection also contains several photographic postcards of the La Oroya Mine facilities. A few clippings about Irving L. Barker and two letters written to his wife G. Dorothy Barker are in this collection as well.</p>
