The WSU Physical Plant was originally known as Buildings and Grounds dating back to at least 1908 when a superintendent was appointed to the department. The department underwent a name change to Buildings and Grounds in the 1960's and a reorganizing in the 80's. The department is responsible for small scale construction and remodeling work around the WSU campus, as well as day to day maintenance.

All folders contain correspondence, financial documents, and contracts related to various small projects for WSU. Projects include (but are not limited to) a protection plan for the Pullman Campus water system, an air conditioning system for the WSU Childcare Center, and the moving of the victory bell to the alumni center. All files range from around 1993-2000.

This is an unprocessed collection. Any arrangement reflects either a pre-existing order from the records' creators or previous custodians, or preliminary sorting performed by staff.

Box 1 contains contracts 11339-12941. Box 2 contains contracts 12948-14218. All files are contains in black two-pocket files and are ordered chronologically.
