         <p>This collection consists of records of the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association Auxiliary (also Washington State University Veterinary Medical Student Auxiliary, also called "Student Wives Auxiliary," materials). It includes scrapbooks, newsletters, reports, treasurers' records, minutes, membership information, and materials related to the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) women's auxiliary.</p>
         <p>Preliminary inventory:</p>
         <p>Box 1. Scrapbooks (3 volumes); 1949-1959, 1960-1965, 1966-1978.</p>
         <p>Box 2. WSU "Student Wives Auxiliary" file; AVMA women's auxiliary annual meeting proceedings, minutes (1949-1970), treasurers' binder, newsletters (various titles, including "Better Half"), constitutions, reports, and loose, unsorted materials.</p>

         <p>The Women's Auxiliary of the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association was established in 1949, at a meeting held in Yakima. It was affiliated with the women's auxiliary of the American Veterinary Medical Association. This collection also includes some records of an associated group, the Washington State University Veterinary Medical Student Auxiliary.</p>
