Biographical Note

Oliver Adams Jenson was born December 8, 1890, in Logan Utah, to Joseph Christenson
Jenson and Elizabeth Ann Adams. Oliver was born with a twin sister, Hazel, who died a
year later due to whooping cough. In 1893, Elizabeth Adams and another set of twins died
during childbirth. Oliver's father, Joseph, then married Alice Girdlestone Smith in 1899
and moved to Arbon Valley Idaho in 1907. The Jensons went on to have a large family
while working the farm in Idaho. Oliver A. Jenson married Thelma Vivian Blanchard
January 11, 1916 in Ogden Utah. Thelma was the daughter of Elizabeth Dagmar Christiansen
and the granddaughter of Han Jacob Christiansen. The Haroldsen family comes from Elise
Anne Haroldsen, who was the wife of Hans Jacob Christiansen. Elise Haroldsen's father
was Christopher Haroldsen of Norway.
