		  and other artwork by C. T. Chew, an artist based in Seattle,
		  Washington</abstract></did><bioghist encodinganalog="5450_" id="ARN4541605" altrender="sync"><p>Carl T. Chew was born in Urbana, IL, in 1948. He earned both his BS
		  (Zoology) and MFA (Printmaking and Video) from the University of Washington,
		  and later received a Teaching Certificate. His career largely centered around
		  art, design, and teaching: he worked on the I-90 Design Team for the State of
		  Washington Department of Transportation, as the Artist in Residence at Edmonds
		  Community College, as a teacher in the Seattle Public Schools, and as the
		  founder and director of The Contemporary Carpet Center in Kathmandu, Nepal. His
		  work has been exhibited at a number of galleries and museums in Washington
		  state and around the country.</p></bioghist><scopecontent><p>Posters and other artwork by C. T. Chew. The materials include stamps
		  (including letters and envelopes featuring Chew's stamps), posters for concerts
		  and other events, and brochures for exhibits featuring Chew's work. Some of the
