The Squires Ranch (also known as Sundby-Wilson Ranch or Hecht Creek Ranch) was located in the Centennial Valley of Southeast Wyoming. Founded in 1887 by Reynold Hecht, it was purchased by Gudmund and Emma Sundby in 1927 and operated by their descendants until the 2000s. Susanne and Roxanne Squires were Gudmund and Emma’s grandchildren and continued operating the ranch, becoming involved with 4H and showing cattle, until the 2000s.

Scope and Content

This collection contains photos, notes, and ranch notebooks from the ranch. Also included are several maps of the ranch and surrounding area in the Centennial Valley. The collection also contains photos and manuscript material related to the Sundby family.
