         <p>The Hamilton Scott Diary, which dates from circa 1862, consists of a typescript of Hamilton Scott's diary, of his overland journey from Fremont, Iowa to Walla Walla, Washington. Also included are additional notes by Alvin Zaring, a compilation of Hamilton Scott's diary and the recollections of Louise I. Estes, Christena Chambers, and J.J. Garlington.</p>
