  	<abstract label="Abstract"> Robert Kenneth Cook was an American flight navigator during World War II until his plane was shot down by Germans and he was taken prisoner.  He spent the remainder of the war as a prisoner in Stalag Luft III in Sagan, Germany, until his liberation in April 1945.  This collection consists of a bound photocopy of the journal he kept at Stalag Luft III.</abstract>

  	<head>Scope and Content</head><p>This collection consists of a bound photocopy of the journal he kept during his time as a prisoner of war.  The journal contains Cook’s art work, stories from Cook and other prisoners, how they spent their days, what kinds of foods they ate, and copies of clippings taken from German newspapers during this time highlighting the last push of the Germans before the advancing Allied Forces.</p>
