      <p>Isaac Russell was the founder of "The American Soldier," one of the very first newspapers serving U.S. troops. This collection contains images of the Utah Battery A, and Utah soldiers in the Philippine Islands during the Spanish American War. The collection mainly consists of candid shots and portraits of various soldiers and the Utah Battery A.</p>
