      <abstract encodinganalog="5203_">Born in 1957, Harriet Rubin is a Jewish American who was born in Albany, New York, before moving to the Los Angeles area in California as a young child. Rubin discovered the women's movement in college, and joined as a self described radical lesbian feminist. Rubin moved to Oregon, where she was an avid recreational and political event organizer in the Eugene lesbian community. Rubin was active in organizing theater performances and bringing together her community of Jewish Lesbians.

Materials include correspondence, photographs, flyers, newsletters, and t-shirts and approximately 30 LP's of lesbian music.</abstract>
