      <bioghist encodinganalog="5450_" id="a2">
         <p>Jean Bradford Fay was born in Seattle on April 22, 1904. While a resident of San Francisco in the 1930s and 1940s, Fay studied at the California School of Fine Arts and with Lyonel Feininger at Mills College in Oakland. For the Federal Art Project, she wove David Park's design into a tapestry for the auditorium curtain at Piedmont (California) High School. She died in Seattle in October 1986.</p>

               <item>Engraving for<title render="italic" linktype="simple">Banke's New System of Geography</title>, published by Royal Authority: two images on one page-- "Habitations on Nootka Sound North America" and "The Inside of a habitation in Nootka Sound"</item>
               <item>Engraving entitled: "Friendly Cove, Nootka Sound," captioned "W. Alexander del: from a sketch taken on a spit by H. Humphries, London," published May 1st, 1789, by J. Edwards Pall Mall and G. Robinson, Paternaster Row.</item>
