  	<head>History of American Salesmasters</head><p>American Salesmasters was an organization founded by Harold A. Krause in 1964. Its purpose was to teach real estate salesmen how to increase their sales. Its headquarters was in Denver, Colorado.</p>

  	<head>Scope and Content</head><p>The American Salesmasters  collection contains  audio cassettes and 16mm films  featuring motivational speakers  teaching  sales techniques  to real estate salesmen at American Salesmasters symposia and conferences, 1964-1981. There are photographs of speakers, and  signed Thank You Certificates by some of  the speakers (1964-1981). Some of the most frequent speakers included:  Jesse Owens, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, Zig Ziglar, Denis Waitley, Bob Allbin, Ty Boyd,  Fred Herman, J. Douglas Edwards, and  Larry Wilson. There is also an American Salesmasters Oscar Award, and a three volume phonograph  album  "The Best of American Salesmasters".</p>
