      <abstract encodinganalog="description">The Student Army Training Corps was established at the University in October 1918 to provide training for draftees and later for officers.  It was disbanded in December 1918.  A field artillery unit in the Reserve Officer's Corps was established in 1920.  This collection contains materials related to activities of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps at the University of Utah.  It includes a scrapbook (1920-1922) and ROTC committee meeting minutes (1969-1970).  Also included is a list of personnel in the 1st and 2nd Detachments of the Student Army Training Corps (1918), who trained at the University of Utah before being registered as students.</abstract>
