Antoine de Seynes (1900-1972?) was a French government bureaucrat and land-owner who learned to kayak especially for the 1938 trip down the Colorado River. He continued kayaking in France and opened a sports shop in Toulouse.
The Antoine de Seynes papers (1938) contain materials documenting a French expedition kayak trip down the Colorado River. Included are correspondence, journals, articles, and a poem. Most of the materials are in French.
