The Washington Science Olympiad (WSO) is an organization that seeks to improve the quality of science education in Washington state. One of the primary activities of the WSO is an annual competition for secondary students. The WSO ran its first statewide competition in 1986.
The Washington State Olympiad Records consists of documents related to its establishment and the organization of its yearly events. This includes by-laws, meeting minutes, rules for judges and coaches, event descriptions, grant applications, newsletters, and the results of the events run by the organization. The collection also contains photographs of events in the 1990s.
