      <abstract encodinganalog="5203_">The Whiterocks trading post records (1878-1915) consist of six ledgers (1878-1898) kept by various Indian Agents on the Uintah and Ouray Reservation, eleven ledgers (1902-1915) kept by members of the R. L. Marimon family and clerks at the trading post on the reservation, one ledger detailing transactions at a Marimon family-owned trading post in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, and one volume with entries related to the Marimon ranch. Robert Lee Marimon took over the trading post from a Mr. Cardwell in 1902, bringing with him his wife, Nannie Forsythe Marimon, and their children Rose, Sarah, and Robert Lee Jr. The family lived at Whiterocks and managed the trading post until 1928, when it was sold to Oscar Lyman.</abstract>
