  		<p>Richard Deo Daugherty (1922-2014) was born and raised in Washington State. He earned
  			his Ph.D. in anthropology at the University of Washington and joined the WSU
  			Anthropology Department in 1950. He led excavation efforts at multiple significant
  			archaeological sites in Washington, including Ozette, Lind Coulee, and Marmes. </p>

  		<p>The Marmes Rockshelter is located in Franklin County, Washington, on the west side of
  			the Palouse River Canyon. It is important in the history of the Columbia Plateau,
  			providing a detailed picture of the life and culture of the Indigenous people of the
  			southern Plateau. </p>

				content. It includes film footage of the Washington State University (WSU)
