      <p>John Morford served as the Dean of the School of Education from 1973 to 1978. Under his leadership the Doctorate in Educational Leadership program was launched in 1975. Morford continued to teach and develop the curriculum into the 1990's, maintaining contact with program graduates. In 2012, the College of Education announced a revision of its Educational Leadership Program (EDLR) which continues to be one of the university's most distinguished academic programs.</p>
