The Bessie Brown Lawrence Photographs
consist of images made or assembled by Bessie Brown during her student years at
Oregon Agricultural College. The images show campus buildings and student
activities during the mid-1920s.

Biographical Note:
Bessie Jane Brown, of Lakeview, Oregon, attended Oregon Agricultural
from 1923 to 1927 and graduated in 1927 with a BS degree in home economics. She
married Wilbur Wray Lawrence, a 1926 graduate of OAC.
The Bessie Brown Lawrence Photographs consist of photographic prints
made or assembled by Bessie Brown during her student years at Oregon
Agricultural College. They include images of campus buildings affixed to
scrapbook pages and individual snapshots of the homecoming bonfire and the
freshman-sophomore tug-of-war.
Collection is open for research.

The photographs and other items were sent to the Alumni Association by
Bessie Brown Lawrence's daughter.
Photographs were transferred by the Alumni Association in 2006.
Other materials transferred with the photographs have been placed in the
Intercollegiate Athletics Records (RG 7) and the Memorabilia Collection.
