Permanent University Archive public records are available for research, and are subject to state, and in some cases federal freedom of information laws. In compliance with applicable state and federal laws, including, but not limited to, FERPA and HIPAA, specific records that are legally protected, sensitive, private, or confidential are exempt (not subject to disclosure) and closed to protect individual privacy. Access to paper records will be granted after a professional review of the records occurs based on regulations in state and federal laws. This collection contains records between the University of Oregon and the Oregon State Board of Higher Education created from 1920-1963, with the bulk of the materials representing the 1940s and 1950s. The entire collection spans the presidencies of P.L. Campbell (1902-1925), A.B. Hall (1926-1932), C.V. Boyer (1934-1938), D.M. Erb (1938-1943), O.J. Hollis (Interim, 1944-1045), H.K. Newburn (1945-1953), V.P. Morris (Interim, 1953-1954), O.W. Wilson (1954-1960), W.C. Jones (Interim, 1960-1961), and A.S. Flemming (1961-1968).
As of 2013 there has only been one accession (10712.A).
