         <p>The Portland Women's Research Club was an organization devoted to "study of national, state and municipal government, economics, current topics and parliamentary law." It donated land and money to the Children's Farm Home in Corvallis, the Pilot Education Program for the School for Mentally and Physically Handicapped Children in Portland, the Oregon Historical Society and the University of Oregon.</p>
