  	<head>History of the Shoemaker family</head>
    <p>Lillian “Lee” Olive Easton grew up in Denver, Colorado. In 1913 she married Theodore “Teddy” Shoemaker. They had three children Nanette "Nan", Theodore, and Robert “Bob”. They moved across the Rocky Mountain West living in Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana. Robert served in the military and died in 1944 during WWII.</p>
    <p>May Dot Schenck (Lillian Shoemakers sister-in-law) was born in Kansas then her family moved to Nebraska until 1900 when they settled in Big Horn County, Wyoming. She met and married George Shoemaker (brother of Theodore Shoemaker) in Wyoming, where they raised a family of four children and she became Superintendent of the Big Horn County School District.</p>

    <head>Scope and Content</head><p>Collection contains the diaries of Lillian “Lee”, Nanette “Nan”, and Robert Shoemaker, a memoir by May Dot Shoemaker, a family tree, and family memorabilia regarding the life of women and family in the Rocky Mountain West during the 20th century.</p>
