    <bioghist encodinganalog="5450_">
      <p>Eva Christine Wennergren was born July 31, 1893, in Logan, Utah. She lived out her life in Logan working at the Utah State University Bookstore for five years and at the Bluebird Caf&#xE9; for 30 years as a candymaker. For most of her adult life she lived with her sister, Hazel Wennergren Olson. Besides her job as a candymaker, Eva spent the rest of her time managing the home she and her sister lived in. Each day she spent time cooking, cleaning, and organizing. She also attended movies on a regular basis, sometimes twice a week. </p>
      <p>Other siblings include William Wennergren, Arthur Wennergren, Lorraine Rostad, and Mildred Lewis. Her parents were Oscar Wennergren and Caroline Johnson Wennergren. Eva died February 22, 1981. </p>

    <scopecontent encodinganalog="5202_">
      <p>The collection consists of three diaries written by Eva Wennergren (1893-1981). Each diary contains daily entries of Wennergren's domestic duties within the home she shared with her sister, Hazel Olson. Diary I (1941-1945) spans ages 48-52. Diary II (1966-1970) spans ages 73-77, and Diary III (1971-1975) spans ages 78-82. The diaries contain comments on daily occurrences such as what movies Wennergren watched and what weather she encountered and what her reaction was to both. The diaries also mention people that visited Wennergren, and she discusses what they did. These diaries give insight into the social life of a single woman living in Logan.</p>
