James H. Maguire was a professor of English at Boise State University, author, and editor for various publications. He was the president of the Western Literature Association in 1981, section editor of the Literary History of the American West and editor of Boise State University's Western Writers Series.
The collection includes papers relating to Maguire's work on Literary History of the American West, information on the Western Literature Association annual conference, and correspondence.
