The Reverend H.R. Voth lived in or near Oraibi, Arizona. He took a series of Kodak photographs of the Hopi Indians who lived in the town in 1896.

 Scope and Content

The photograph album which comprises the collection contains a series of images of the Hopi town of Oraibi, Arizona, and of the people in it. Most of the photographs concern ceremonies taking place in the town in 1896. Descriptions were provided by H.R. Voth and written by G. Wharton James.
