			<p>The collection consists of paper currency, scrip, and one bond. Most of the items
				were issued by the Confederate States of America or individual states of the
				Confederacy. The collection also includes two specimens of scrip (a substitute for
				currency), one issued by the Ladd and Company plantation on the island of Kauai
				circa 1839-1844, and the other issued by the United States Army circa 1860s.</p>
