    <bioghist encodinganalog="545">
      <p>William Nisbet was born in Claythorne, Renfrewshire, Scotland, and emigrated to America in 1890. He joined the LDS Church the next year and served his first mission in 1898. Later in life, he became Salt Lake County deputy sheriff and then the chief gardener at the Utah State Capitol.</p>
