      <p>The Washington Farm Electrification Committee was formed in 1925 as
		  the Washington Committee on the Relation of Electricity to Agriculture.
		  Membership came from Washington State College, various farm groups, and the
		  electrical industry. The purpose of the Committee was to advance the
		  availability and use of electricity on farms. </p>

      <p>The Washington Farm Electrification Committee Records include minutes
		  of annual meetings and executive committee meetings from 1925 to 1968. In
		  addition, the collection includes an incomplete run of Washington Farm
		  Electrification Committee Annual Progress Reports; these cover the years
		  1925-29 and 1948-51. </p>
