                     <emph render="underline">Scope and Content:</emph>
                  </emph> Tape recorded interview conducted by Joseph Cohen and Meta Kaplan
				in 1977; transcript.</p>
               <p>Interview includes a narration of Justice Horowitz's life in New
				York City and in Seattle as a student in Seattle Public Schools, at the
				University of Washington and as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University. Included
				is a discussion of his involvement in Jewish organizations and of his career as
				a practicing lawyer and as a State Appelate Court and Supreme Court justice. He
				also discusses the Reform Community's attitude toward Zionism before Israel
				became a state.</p>

				funded by the Saul and Dayee Haas Foundation. The biographical sketch is a
				lengthy article from "Bar Bulletin", Nov 1987.</p>
