      <p>This collection contains three soundless color 16mm films, approximately 1000 feet (20-22
        minutes) each, comprising pre-broadcast footage and/or outtakes from the KVOS Channel 12 TV
        show "Tide Pool Critters". Broadcast during the 1960s and 1970s,and produced by Al Swift,
        "Tide Pool Critters" was a children's tv show, led by marine biologist and Western
        Washington University President Dr. Charles J. "Jerry" Flora. The footage includes footage
        of Flora, plus George Garlick and other unidentified individuals examining aquatic
        creatures. This collection does not include finalized copies of the Tide Pool Critter shows
        that were aired publicly by KVOS-TV. </p>
