The Arch Leonard Madsen photograph collection contains photographs of Madsen's involvement with television and radio. The collection also contains postcard sets and slides used at a presentation concerning UHF television channels.

The images in this collection show Madsen's involvement in the promotion of television and radio in the United States and the world. Included in the collection are images from the meeting of the Freedoms Foundation in Washington D.C., postcard sets from television stations in Japan, and photographs of awards and a specific awards banquet held for Madsen. Also in the collection are slides used by the all channel committee to lobby congress concerning the regulation of UHF television channels in the United States.

Arch Leonard Madsen was born on 1913 December 4 in Lakeview, Utah to Christina Nuttall and Parley William Madsen. As a child he contracted polio and became partially paralyzed as a result. During his youth, he developed an interest in radio. Madsen founded Bonneville International, a media and broadcasting corporation, and served as its president until 1985. He served as a president of KSL. Madsen received numerous awards for his work in broadcasting, including the Peabody Award and a Distinguished Service Award from the National Association of Broadcasters. Arch Leonard Madsen died on 1997 April 7.
