Biography or History of Joseph Julian

Joseph Julian was born in June 1910 in St. Marys, Pennsylvania as Joseph Shapiro. He was an actor, playwright, and author who starred in more than 10,000 radio broadcasts. Most famously working with Orson Welles and Norman Corwin. In the early 1950's, Julian was blacklisted in the Red Channels list. An accusation which he actively resisted and charges which he eventually successfully overcame. He passed away in New York, NY in March 1982.
