         <p>This collection contains printed music from 1875 to 1965 collected by Virginia Stewart (1917-2011). The collection primarily consists of sheet music from the 1890s to 1915, including "Everything is Peaches Down in Georgia," "Golden Butterfly," "Yankee Breeze," "Arcadia," "Bamboo Baby," "Hearts of the World," "Daisies Won't Tell," "Down in Jungle Town," "My Heart's Way out in California," "Santiago," "Salut Á Pesth," "Peaceful Henry," "Happy Moses," and "The Jersey Carnival," as well as newspaper clippings of music.</p>

         <p>Sheet music (1892-1965), including, among several others: "Anything is Nice if it Comes from Dixieland," "Everything is Peaches Down in Georgia," "Friends," "Heart Breaking Baby Doll," "Mickey," "The Rose of 'No Man's Land,'" "National Songs and Melodies and Negro Melodies," "Gem Dance Folio,1914," "Hawaiian Souvenir Collection, Songs, and Views, 1913," "Mary of the Wild Moor," "The Curse of the Aching Heart," "You Alone," "Lucky Stars," "Carry on for General MacArthur," "Out on the Deep," "Golden Butterfly," "Yankee Breeze," "Arcadia," "Bamboo Baby," "Hearts of the World," "Daisies Won't Tell," "Down in Jungle Town," "My Heart's Way Out in California," "Old Fashion Roses," "Over There" (French), "Put On Your Old Gray Bonnet," as well as newspaper clippings of music. </p>

      <bioghist encodinganalog="545">
    
         <p>Virginia Nancy Stewart (1917-2011) was born in California. She developed this collection of sheet music while residing in Lewiston, ID. Her uncle, Donald Samuel Hopkins, and aunt, Carry Newill Hopkins, had toured the Midwest and California during the early twentieth century as theatrical performers and musicians, and among Stewart's collection of music are piano solos privately played by her father Charles Cochron Stewart. Virginia Stewart died in Lewiston, Idaho, on September 8, 2011.</p>
