		  Peter Rohn and Ed Mignon</abstract></did><bioghist encodinganalog="5451_" id="a2"><p>Peter H. Rohn (1924-2012) was a political science professor at the
		  University of Washington. He created the World Treaty Index database, which
		  indexed all treaties made in the 20th century. The database was widely used by
		  political science and human rights researchers prior to mainstream use of the
		  World Wide Web. Edmond Mignon (1929-2012) was a University of Washington
		  Information School alumni who succeeded Peter Rohn as the Acting Director of
		  the Treaty Research Center upon Rohn's retirement around 1989. Mignon earned a
		  PhD in information science at the University of California, Berkeley, before

		  science professor at the University of Washington. He created the World Treaty
		  Index database, which indexed all treaties made in the 20th century. The
		  database was widely used by political science and human rights researchers
		  prior to mainstream use of the World Wide Web. Two print editions of the index
		  were published by ABC-Clio in 1974 and 1983-1984. This collection includes
		  treaty index records, database development and management documentation,
		  database computer files, and correspondence of center directors Peter Rohn and

				replacement for Rohn and to keep the Center operating because of its
