Under captain Samuel Very, the Hurricane sailed out of London to Hong Kong and Calcutta, India in 1855.
Collection includes documentation of a $5,000 insurance policy issued by the Fireman's Insurance Company to C. W. Thorman as well as receipts for services, purchases and portage. There are also records of an account held with the firm of Andrew Johnson and Company.
