      <p>John Held, Jr. was a famous illustrator in the 1920s most well known for his cartoons depicting the lifestyle and culture of the generation. Held was a Utah native who's earliest illustrations were published at the age of 15. After moving to New York, Held continued to illustrate for various newspapers, magazines, and often illustrated for playwrights.</p>
