  		<p>From approximately the 1970s to 2017, the Washington State University Libraries' Media Materials and Reserves unit maintained a circulating collection of narrated slide shows created for educational purposes. In 2017, MASC staff selected a small number of these shows for transfer, and created this collection. These specific shows were chosen based on their enduring research value and rarity.</p>

	 	<p>This collection consists of 17 narrated slide shows, many of which are related to Native American tribes of the Pacific Northwest. These slide shows were created at Washington State University for educational purposes circa 1970s-1980s, and each one includes a set of photographic slides (color), narration on audiocassette, a script, and, in some cases, accompanying documentation.</p>
