Henry A.G. Lee, born in Virginia in 1818, was a soldier and politician in Oregon Country in the 1840s. He originally arrived in Oregon territory as part of John C. Fremont's expedition throughout the western United STates. He was elected to the Provisional Legislature in 1845 and briefly served as editor of the Oregon Spectator newspaper in 1846. He was a military officer in the Cayuse War from 1847-1849. After a brief stint mining in California in 1849, he returned to Oregon and established a business in Oregon City alongside Sidney W. Moss. He died in 1851 while returning from an inventory acquisition trip to New York.
