		  artist located in San Francisco, California</abstract></did><bioghist encodinganalog="5450_" id="a2"><p>Mr. Arnautoff, a longshoreman and artist, was active in Local 10,
		  ILWU, in San Francisco, and opposed Bridges and a black militant faction just
		  preceding and during the 1971 Longshoremen's strike. He collected ephemera on
		  that period and from the earlier history of the union. Arnautoff illustrated
		  Herb Mills' publication "The San Francisco Waterfront." He was the son of famed
