      <abstract encodinganalog="5203_">Glenn Jackson (1902-1980) was the chairman of the Oregon Transportation Commission for 19 years, and he supervised development of the interstate highway system in Oregon. Jackson was also a newspaper owner and chairman of Pacific Power &amp; Light Co., now PacifiCorp. Collection includes correspondence, awards, citations, memorabilia, and a scrapbook regarding his military service, the solicitation of the 1968 Summer Olympics, the United States Chamber of Commerce, the St. Vincent's Medical Foundation, the Oregon Highway Commission, the Oregon Economic Development Commission, Pacific Power and Light Co., and other activities.</abstract>
