      <p>Lacey Heward is an American para-alpine skier. She represented the United States at the 2002 Winter Paralympics and at the 2006 Winter Paralympics in alpine skiing. She became paralyzed beneath the waist at the age of 16 months. Heward began skiing at age 15. In 1999, she entered the National Ability Center's program in Park City to learn to mono-ski. In 2002, she won two bronze medals: in the Women's Giant Slalom LW10-11 event and in the Women's Super-G LW10-12 event. She won the World Cup mono-ski championship in 2003 and the World Cup Super G championship in 2004</p>
