Tapes of radio broadcasts on KRAB on Seattle Sephardic community includes interviews and music recordings.

Adatto recordings are copies made from original transcription discs in the Melville Jacobs papers in the UW Archives.

Scope and Content: Indices, 1982; publications, 1959-1976; research files; tape recordings, ca. 1947-1981.

Indexing and documentation project conducted Spring, 1982 in Seattle by Howard Weiss and Michele Shallon, musicologists. Documentation was of earlier projects (including recordings of Adatto/Jacobs -- copies of original discs in M. Jacobs Coll.) which recorded or discussed songs of Seattle Sephardim. The project was funded by the Washington State Jewish Historical Society. Rina Benmayor's book, in which songs she recorded in Seattle are discussed, has the UW call number, ML 3776 R65 1979.
