      <p>Erastus G. Farmer was born in Florence, Nebraska in a covered wagon en route to Salt Lake City on June 29, 1861. He lived most of his life in Idaho and was an active member of The Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as a missionary, a bishop, and a high councilman for ten years. He died on July 31, 1937.</p>
