Cecil Grant Ash (1922-2007) began his career as a research scientist for the United States Army, specializing in analyzing the environmental effects of engineering. He eventually became Director of Research which propelled him into his first position in Washington D.C. as Director of Research for the Army Research and Development Command. Over the next decades, Ash served as Chief Scientist for the Desert Test Center at Fort Douglas and as Head of Environmental Research and Analysis for the Army Corps of Engineers in Washington D.C.
Collection contains remarks and speeches of General F. J. Clark and General F. P. Koisch concerning water resources, environment and conservation in the water resource and engineering fields; and a booklet titled “National Environmental Policy Act of 1969.”
There are no access restrictions on the materials for research purposes, and the collection is open to the public.
