		  interview, films, and papers of a painter and enamelist from Vienna who lived
		  in Seattle</abstract></did><bioghist encodinganalog="5450_" id="a2"><p>Lisel Salzer was a painter and enamelist. Born in 1906 in Vienna,
		  Austria, she attended art school at the Vienna Art Academy where she studied
		  painting. After graduating in 1929 she then spent a short time in Paris, before
		  coming to the United States in 1939. She lived in New York City for 10 years
		  before moving to in 1950 Seattle via Arizona and California. In addition to
		  painting she began working with enamel in 1945. Most of Salzer's work consists
